Founded in 1954 by the employees of Guard Publishing company, the RGFCU has been serving its employees, contract carriers, and their families ever since. The credit union difference can be found at the Register-Guard Federal Credit Union as a member-owned cooperative, serving people with a common bond. Our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee are all volunteers, elected by members, who give of their time and talents to ensure the safe and sound operation of the credit union and chart the course for the future. With a membership base of 2,000 members, we may not be the largest credit union in the Eugene/Springfield area, but our size allows us to really know our members, most by first name. We understand our members individual needs and take the time to help them with their financial decisions whether that be with savings, investments, loans, home purchases or retirement plans. Our motto is "Big Enough to Serve...Small Enough To Care." In this spirit, we strive to match our services with our members' needs and take pride in ensuring fast and friendly service.
